Paul Hemmer has enjoyed a 7-decade career as a professional musician. His first arrangements for dance-band were scored when he was 16. Since then, his charts for dance-band, choral groups, symphony "pops" orchestras, vocal groups, and solo instruments have been used across the US, Canada, Europe, Southeast Asia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and China. 

He's written commissioned orchestrations for a Nashville recording star, a New Orleans jazz musician, a Southeast Asia Fine Arts School, and a top-rated jazz orchestra. 

As a composer and lyricist, he has written 4 Original musical comedies produced with extended runs in his hometown of Dubuque, Iowa, and his prohibition-era musical "Joe Sent Me" won Best New Musical for a regional theater in California. 

From 3 years in the combo at at top Midwest Supper Club, through a 45-year career as leader-arranger of a popular regional swing band, to director of a theater pops orchestra and successful orchestrator of hundreds of published arrangements - Paul Hemmer has earned a reputation for quality.
